Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  3. Fig 1: Brake Hose Bracket Bolt

  4. Remove any dirt or debris from the brake pipe fitting (1).
  5. Using a backup wrench on the brake hose fitting, disconnect the brake pipe fitting.

    Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

  6. Remove the brake hose bracket bolt (2).

  8. Remove the brake hose fitting bolt (1).
  9. Remove and discard the 2 brake hose fitting gaskets (2).
  10. Remove the brake hose (3).
