Spring Replacement: Installation

Install the upper rubber mount (A) on the spring (B) by aligning the upper end (C) of the spring with the ledge portion (D) of the upper rubber mount.

Install the lower rubber mount (A) on the spring (B) by aligning the lower end (C) of the spring with the ledge portion (D) of the lower rubber mount.

Install the tab (A) of the lower rubber mount into the groove (B) of the lower spring seat.
NOTE:
- Make sure that the tab of the lower rubber mount is properly installed into the axle beam (C).
- Make sure that the spring is installed correctly.

Position a floor jack under the lower spring seat (A) on both sides of the axle beam (B).

Slowly raise the jacks until you can align the bolt hole with the holes in the axle beam and the damper (C), then loosely tighten the new damper mounting bolt (D) on both sides.
Raise the rear suspension with the jacks until the vehicle just lifts off of the lift, then tighten the damper mounting bolts to the specified torque.
Install the wheel speed sensor (A), the wheel speed sensor clip (B), and the wire guide grommet (C) on both sides of the axle beam.

Clean the mating surfaces of the brake drum and the inside of the wheel, then install the rear wheel.
