Trim Removal/Installation - Cargo Areas

Special Tools Required

KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014*

*Available through the Honda Tool and Equipment Program, 888-424-6857

NOTE:

Put on gloves to protect your hands.
Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.

Remove these items:
- Rear door opening seal, as needed (see step 3 ).
- Hatch weatherstrip, as needed (see HATCH SUPPORT STRUT REPLACEMENT ).
- Rear door sill trim (see REAR DOOR SILL AREA ).
If equipped: Remove the tonneau cover (A).

Pull up the cargo floor lid (A), and detach the pins (B).

Remove the cargo floor box (C), and remove the spare tire (D).
If necessary, pull up the cargo side lid (A) and detach the pins (B), then remove the cargo side lid.
Left side

If necessary, pull up on both sides of the spare tire beam cover (A), and detach the hooks (B), then remove the cover.

If necessary, remove the bolts, then remove the spare tire beam (A).

Pull up the IPU duct cover (A), detach the clips and hooks (B), then remove the IPU duct cover.

Remove the rear trim panel (A).
1. Disengage the tabs (B) and hooks (C) on both sides from both cargo area side trim panels (D).
2. Detach the clips by pulling the panel up.

Remove the cargo area side trim panel (A).
1. Detach the clips and hooks (B, C), then pull the panel back to remove it from the rear seat-back striker (D).
2. Left side: Disconnect the cargo area light connector (E).

Install the trim in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Push the clips, hooks, and tabs into place securely.
- Make sure the cargo area light connector is plugged in properly.
- When installing the panel, make sure there are no pinches in the seat belt.
