Side Curtain Airbag Replacement: Removal

NOTE:
- If you are replacing the side curtain airbag after deployment, refer to Component/Inspection After Deployment (see COMPONENT REPLACEMENT/INSPECTION AFTER DEPLOYMENT ) for a complete list of other parts that must also be replaced.
- Review the interior trim replacement procedure before doing repair or service (see COMPONENT LOCATION INDEX ).
- Removal of the side curtain airbag must be done according to Precautions and Procedures (see PRECAUTIONS AND PROCEDURES ).
- Do the 12 volt battery terminal disconnection procedure (see 12 VOLT BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION AND RECONNECTION ), then wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.
- Remove the C-pillar trim panel and the cargo side trim panel (see C-PILLAR TRIM ).
- Disconnect the wire harness 2P connector (A) from the side curtain airbag.
- Remove the headliner (see HEADLINER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Remove the side airbag mounting bolts (A) and the mounting bolts (B) from the bracket. Detach the clip (C) and the hooks (D), then remove the side curtain airbag (E).
