Rear Safing Sensor Replacement: Removal

- Do the 12 volt battery terminal disconnection procedure (see 12 VOLT BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION AND RECONNECTION ), then wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.
- Remove the rear seat cushion (see REAR SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Pull out the carpet as needed.
- Remove the two bolts (A) and the rear safing sensor cover (B).
- Disconnect the floor wire harness 2P connector (C) from the rear safing sensor (D). using a TORX T30 bit, remove the TORX bolt (E), then remove the rear safing sensor.
