Front Passenger's Weight Sensor Replacement: Installation

NOTE:
  • Make sure to install the harness wires so they are not pinched or interfering with other parts.
  • The spacers and collars can be identified by their color. Make sure to install the spacers and collars as shown.
  1. Install the new front passenger's seat slide assembly under the seat track.

  2. When tightening the TORX nuts (A), tighten them in a crisscross pattern in two or more steps.

  3. Connect the sensor connectors (B) to the weight sensors.
    NOTE: The sensor connectors with the white tape (C) connect to the front sensors.
  4. Reassemble the front passenger's seat cushion cover/pad (see FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER REPLACEMENT ).
  5. Reinstall the front passenger's seat (see FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  6. Do the 12 volt battery terminal reconnection procedure (see 12 VOLT BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION AND RECONNECTION ).
  7. Connect the HDS and clear the DTCs (see HOW TO CLEAR DTCS  ).
  8. Do the front passenger's weight sensor initialization (see FRONT PASSENGER'S WEIGHT SENSOR INITIALIZATION  ).
  9. Confirm proper system operation: Turn the ignition switch to ON (II); the SRS indicator should come for about 6 seconds and then go off.
