Intake Manifold Removal and Installation: Removal

- Remove the engine cover.
- Remove the air cleaner (see AIR CLEANER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Remove the engine wire harness connectors and wire harness clamps from the intake manifold.
- Throttle actuator connector
- Manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor connector
- Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve connector
- Evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve connector
- Remove the brake booster vacuum hose (A) and the EVAP canister hose (B).
- Remove the EVAP canister purge hose.
- Remove the throttle body without disconnecting the water bypass hoses.
- Remove the harness holder (A) from the intake manifold.
- Remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose (B).
- Remove the dipstick.
- Remove the intake manifold bracket mounting bolts.
- Remove the intake manifold (A).
- Remove the EGR plate (B).
- Disassemble the intake manifold.NOTE: Refer to the Exploded View if needed during this procedure.
