Engine Oil Replacement Reminder Reset - Procedure 24

NOTE:
  • The vehicle must be stopped to reset the Maintenance Minder.
  • If a required service is done and the Maintenance Minder is not reset, or if the Maintenance Minder is reset without doing the service, the system will not show the proper maintenance timing. This can lead to serious mechanical problems because there will be no accurate record of when the required maintenance is needed.
  • You can reset all maintenance items by batch, or you can select and reset each maintenance item individually on the display.
  • The engine oil life and maintenance item(s) can be independently reset with the HDS.
  1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
  2. If system message(s) are displayed to the multi-Information display, press the Left Selector Wheel to cancel the display. Press the HOME button, then select the "Maintenance" by rolling the Left Selector Wheel, and press that wheel.
  3. Display shows the remaining engine oil life, and then press the Left Selector Wheel for 10 seconds or more. The "Maintenance Reset" mode appears on the multi-information display.
    NOTE:
    • If you are resetting the Maintenance Minder when the engine oil life is more than 15 %, make sure any maintenance item(s) requiring service are done before resetting the display.
    • To cancel the "Maintenance Reset" mode, rolling the Left Selector Wheel to select the "Cancel", and press that wheel.
  4. If you reset all the maintenance items shown on the display "A23 (for example)", select "All Due Items" by rolling the Left Selector Wheel, and press that wheel. If you reset each maintenance item individually, select an item (complete list of maintenance main item(s) and sub item(s)) you wish to reset by rolling the Left Selector Wheel, and press that wheel.

  5. "Reset Completed" appears on the display and maintenance item code(s) will disappear. The engine oil life will reset to "100 %."
