Engine Oil Replacement Reminder Reset - Procedure 21

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 254 other vehicles, including the 2025 Honda Odyssey, 2025 Honda HR-V, 2025 Honda Civic, 2025 Honda CR-V, and 2025 Honda Accord. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: The engine oil life and maintenance item(s) can also be independently reset with an appropriate scan tool. See Engine Oil Replacement Reminder Reset - Procedure 20 .
NOTE:
  • The vehicle must be stopped to reset the Maintenance Minder.
  • If a required service is done and the Maintenance Minder is not reset, or if the Maintenance Minder is reset without doing the service, the system will not show the proper maintenance timing. This can lead to serious mechanical problems because there will be no accurate record of when the required maintenance is needed.
  1. With the vehicle stationary and the power mode ON, press the INFO button and then select the smart maintenance icon (wrench icon) using the right/left buttons. See Fig 1.
  2. After the smart maintenance screen is shown, press and hold the ENTER button for 10 seconds. The reset mode screen will appear.
  3. Select the item you want to reset by pressing the up/down buttons, and then press the ENTER button. There are "All Due Items", "Item 1 only", "Item 2 only", and so on.
    NOTE:
    • If you are resetting the Maintenance Minder, make sure that any maintenance items to service are done.
    • To cancel the "Maintenance Reset" mode, press the up/down buttons to select the "Cancel," and then press the ENTER button.
  4. The "Reset Completed" message will appear. The maintenance items are reset and the maintenance item code(s) will disappear.
