Service Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in SI.





2. Locate the parking brake cable link (1).





3. Mark the threads of the parking brake adjuster screw where it meets the equalizer.





4. Turn the locknut and adjuster screw counterclockwise about 25 mm (1 in).





5. Remove the parking brake cable link (1) using a flat-blade screw driver (2) or equivalent.





6. Install the new parking brake cable link (1).





7. Turn the locknut clockwise until the parking brake adjuster screw is adjusted to the position marked in Step 3.
8. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in SI.
