Exhaust Muffler Heat Shield Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the catalytic converter heat shield. Refer to Catalytic Converter Heat Shield Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the exhaust muffler heat shield bolt (3) and nuts (2).
3. Remove the exhaust muffler heat shield from the underbody.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the exhaust muffler heat shield to the underbody.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the exhaust muffler heat shield bolt (3) and nuts (2).

Tighten the bolt/nuts to 7 Nm (62 lb in).

3. Install the catalytic converter heat shield. Refer to Catalytic Converter Heat Shield Replacement (Service and Repair).
