80. Oil Pump Drive Installation

Oil Pump Drive Installation




1. Apply prelube GM P/N 12345501 (Canadian P/N 992704) or the equivalent to the oil pump drive gear.
2. Apply engine oil to the oil pump drive gear assembly for ease of assembly.
3. Install the oil pump drive gear assembly.
4. Install the oil pump drive gear clamp.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

5. Install the oil pump drive gear clamp bolt and tighten to 36 Nm (27 lb ft).
