Piston Oil Nozzle Cleaning and Inspection




Warning: Refer to Cleaning Solvent Warning (Cleaning Solvent Warning).
1. Clean the piston oil nozzle in cleaning solvent using GM P/N 10953463 (Canadian P/N 88901148) or equivalent.

Warning

Wear safety glasses in order to avoid eye damage.

2. Dry the nozzle with compressed air.
3. Inspect the piston oil nozzle for the following:

* For cracks or damage
* Plugged oil passages (1)
* Bent, misaligned, or cracked oil nozzle tubes (2)
* Bent or broken clip (3)
