Oil Pump Drive Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the oil pump drive bolt.
3. Remove the oil pump drive.
4. Remove the oil pump drive seal.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the oil pump drive seal. Coat the seal or bore in the engine block with clean engine oil.
2. Apply prelube to the oil pump drive gear. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers (Specifications).
3. Install the oil pump drive.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

4. Install the oil pump drive bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).

5. Install the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
