Installation Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
    NOTE: The correct thread engagement is critical. Crossthreaded fittings can achieve proper tightness and still leak.
  1. Install the transaxle oil cooler fittings (28, 29) to the transaxle.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fittings to 38 N.m (28 lb ft).

  2. Install the transaxle oil cooler hoses to the transaxle oil cooler fittings. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement .
  3. Lower the vehicle.
  4. CAUTION: Refer to Transmission Overfill Caution .
  5. Adjust the fluid level.
  6. Inspect for fluid leaks. Refer to Fluid Leak Diagnosis .
  7. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
