Removal Procedure
- Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle.
- Remove the oil pan and filter. Refer to Automatic Transmission Fluid Filter and Seal Replacement .
- Remove the oil feed pipes. Refer to Oil Feed Pipes Replacement .
- Remove the three low/reverse band servo cover bolts, the servo and the spring.
- Disassemble, clean and inspect the low/reverse servo assembly. Refer to Low and Reverse Servo Disassemble .
WARNING:
To avoid any vehicle damage, serious personal injury or death when major components are removed from the vehicle and the vehicle is supported by a hoist, support the vehicle with jack stands at the opposite end from which the components are being removed and strap the vehicle to the hoist.
