Wheel Drive Shaft Heat Shield Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the wheel drive shaft heat shield-to-transaxle mount bracket bolt.
3. Remove the drive shaft heat shield-to-engine block bolt.
4. Remove the wheel drive shaft heat shield.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the wheel drive shaft heat shield onto the engine.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the wheel drive shaft heat shield-to-engine block bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 30 Nm (22 lb ft).

3. Install the wheel drive shaft heat shield-to-transaxle mount bracket bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

4. Lower the vehicle.
