Clutch B/E Disassemble: Disassemble

    CAUTION: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution .
  1. Remove the rear cover. Refer to Transmission Rear Cover Replacement .
    2. Fig 1: Identifying Clutch Sealing Rings

  2. Remove the 2 sealing rings from clutch B/E.

  3. Remove the input shaft with clutch B/E.

  4. Remove the needle bearing and thrust washer
  5. Remove the shim.

  6. Remove the retaining snap ring.

  7. Remove piston B.

  8. Remove disc set B.

  9. Remove the rectangular-section ring for the input shaft and remove the retaining ring.

  10. Remove the inner disc carrier E and remove the needle roller thrust bearing.

  11. Remove the snap ring.

  12. Remove disc set E.

  13. Using DT 46483  (1), press down on the cup spring in clutch E. See Special Tools .
  14. Remove the split stop ring.

  15. Remove the oil dam and the cup spring.
  16. Remove the O-ring from the oil dam.

  17. Use the DT 46482  (1) to press down on the cup spring on clutch B. See Special Tools .
  18. Remove the split stop ring.

  19. Remove the cup spring.
