Automatic Transmission Fluid Pan and Gasket Installation: Installation

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  1. Install the oil pan and the oil pan gasket and the bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in)  .

  2. Install the oil cooler inlet and outlet pipes. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement .

  3. Use DT 46475  (1) to install the transaxle fluid drain plug. See Special Tools .
  4. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
  5. Refill the transaxle fluid. Refer to Transmission Fluid Level Inspection .
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
