  1. Connect a scan tool.
  2. Inspect for engine control diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
Is the vehicle speed sensor DTC set?		 - Go to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle Go to Step 2

  1. Turn the ignition OFF.
  2. Disconnect the engine control module (ECM) connector.
  3. Remove the instrument cluster.
  4. Measure the continuity between the ECM terminal K6 (MR-140), terminal B23 (HV-240), terminal 51 (SIRUS D4) in Gasoline and terminal K74 in Diesel and the instrument cluster terminal B5.
Does the ohmmeter indicate the specified value?		 0 Ω Go to Step 4  Go to Step 3 
3 Repair the open circuit between the instrument cluster connector terminal B5 and the ECM.
Is the repair complete?		 - System OK -
4 Replace the speedometer.
Is the repair complete?		 - System OK -
