Shift Control Assembly Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the console top cover. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement (Removal and Replacement) .
2. Remove the shift cables from the shifter assembly. Refer to Shift Control Cable Replacement (MU3 - Manual Transaxle) .




3. Remove the 2 front mounting nuts (2).
4. Remove the 2 rear mounting nuts (3) and the shifter.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the shifter on the studs and install the front 2 nuts (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the 2 rear nuts (3).

Tighten the nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Install the shift cables. Refer to Shift Control Cable Replacement (MU3 - Manual Transaxle) .
4. Install the console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement (Removal and Replacement) .
