Low and Reverse Band Removal





1. Remove the center support spacer (643).

Important: The thrust washers may be stuck to the output shaft and gear unit assembly or to the bottom of the transmission case.


2. Remove the selective thrust washer (674) from the transmission case.
3. Remove the low and reverse band assembly (657).
4. Inspect the low and reverse band assembly (657) and the selective thrust washer (674) for wear and damage.
