Brake Pedal Assembly Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Disconnect the electrical connector (2).
2. Remove the pushrod retaining clip (5).
3. Remove the stop lamp switch (3) and the pushrod (4) from the brake pedal stud (1).
4. Remove the 4 nuts from the brake pedal bracket.




5. Remove the bolt holding the brake pedal assembly to the cowl.
6. Remove the brake pedal.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the brake pedal.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .

2. Install the bolt holding the brake pedal assembly to the cowl.

Tighten the bolt to 33 N.m (24 lb ft).





3. Install the nuts (1), (2), (3), and (4) to the brake pedal bracket in the sequence shown.

Tighten the nuts to 36 N.m (27 lb ft).





4. Install the pushrod (4) and the stop lamp switch (3) to the brake pedal pin (1).
5. Install the pushrod retaining clip (5).
6. Connect the electrical connector to the stop lamp switch.
