Power Steering Pump Shaft Seal Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. If necessary, remove the power steering pump from the vehicle.





Important: Protect the power steering pump drive shaft with the shim stock.

2. Use a small chisel in order to remove the seal.
Discard the seal.

Installation Procedure

1. Lubricate the new drive shaft seal using power steering fluid.




2. Use a deep socket to evenly press the new seal into the power steering pump housing.
3. If removed, install the power steering pump.
