Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the rear tire and wheel assemblies. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  3. IMPORTANT: Caliper removal is not necessary to service the brake pads.
  4. Remove the lower caliper guide pin bolt.

  6. Pivot the caliper upward.
  7. Remove the brake pads.
