Waterleak Test Preparation

  1. Assemble and position the water test stand as shown.

  3. Set the nozzle height at approximately 1600 mm (63 in) from the floor. The water spray from the stands should overlap the vehicle as shown.
  4. Place an assistant inside of the vehicle during the test in order to locate any leaks.
  5. Maintain the water pressure from the nozzle at 155 kPa (22 psi) with a flow of 14 L (3.7 gal) per minute.

  7. Test the windshield by aiming the spray towards the corner of the windshield, 30 degrees down and 45 degrees toward the rear.
  8. Test the side windows by positioning the water stand towards the center of the rear quarter. Aim the water spray 30 degrees down and 45 degrees toward the rear.
  9. Test the back window by aiming the water spray 30 degrees down and 30 degrees toward the front.
