Removal Procedure

NOTE: Use care when handling the coolant sensor. Damage to the coolant sensor will affect the operation of the fuel control system.

  1. Remove the intake manifold tube. Refer to Intake Manifold Tube Replacement (LLY, LBZ) or Intake Manifold Tube Replacement (LMM) .
  2. Drain the coolant to a level below the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill) or Draining and Filling Cooling System (Vac N Fill) .
  3. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) from the ECT sensor.

  5. Remove the ECT sensor (1).
