Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  3. Remove the upper fan shroud. Refer to Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud Replacement (6.6L) .
  4. Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor electrical connector.

  6. Remove the CKP sensor bolt.
  7. Remove the CKP sensor.
  8. If necessary, remove the CKP sensor spacer bolts.
  9. If necessary, remove the CKP sensor spacer.
