Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
  2. Remove the bolt holding the coolant recovery reservoir and set the reservoir aside.
  3. Remove the oil level indicator.
  4. Remove the screw holding the oil level indicator and the transmission fluid fill tube to the oil fill tube lower support.

  6. Remove the top half of the oil level indicator tube from the bottom half.
  7. Clean the old sealer from the tube.

  9. Remove the oil level indicator tube bolt.
  10. Remove the oil level indicator tube from the engine using a twisting motion.
  11. Clean the old sealer from the oil level indicator tube and the engine block.
