Circuit/System Verification

  1. If DTCs P0698 or P0699 are set, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle for further diagnostics.
  2. Engine running, observe the scan tool TC Vane Position Sensor and the Desired Vane Position parameters.
  3. Engine running, slowly increase the engine speed to 2,500 RPM, then return the engine speed to idle. The TC Vane Position Sensor parameter should remain near or equal to the Desired Vane Position parameter.
  4. Engine running, observe the DTC information with a scan tool. DTCs P2564 or P2565 should not set.
  5. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame Records data.
