Circuit/System Verification

IMPORTANT: If you cannot duplicate the condition, operate the vehicle within the conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records.
  1. Command the EGR valve to 30 percent with a scan tool. The commanded EGR position and the Actual EGR position should match.
    • If DTC P046C is also set, diagnose DTC P046C first.
  2. Engine running, observe the DTC information with a scan tool. DTC P0403 should not set.
  3. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame Records data.
