Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
NOTE: Use care when handling the coolant sensor. Damage to the coolant sensor will affect the operation of the fuel control system.
  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
  3. Drain the coolant below the level of the ECT sensor. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill) or Draining and Filling Cooling System (Vac N Fill) .

  5. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  6. Fig 2: View Of ECT Sensor

  7. Carefully remove the ECT sensor.
