NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice . Fastener Tightening Specifications: Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications . Preliminary Procedures Drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill) or Draining and Filling Cooling System (Vac N Fill) . Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement . Remove the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement (4.3L) or Generator Replacement (4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L) or Generator Replacement (6.6L) .
1	Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Coolant Pipe to Thermostat Housing Bolt Tighten: 21 N.m (16 lb ft)
2	EGR Coolant Pipe Bolt Tighten: 21 N.m (16 lb ft)
3	EGR Coolant Pipe Tip: Compress the clamp and disconnect the EGR coolant pipe from the EGR cooler tube. When installing the EGR coolant pipe, replace the O-ring seal.
