Front Output Shaft Front Bearing Replacement

Preliminary Procedure Ensure the bearing is installed squarely on the front output shaft. Using a suitable adapter and an arbor press, remove the bearing assembly from the front output shaft.
1	Transfer Case Front Output Shaft Front Bearing Assembly Tip: Using a suitable adapter and an arbor press, install the bearing until the bearing bottoms on the front output shaft.
2	Transfer Case Front Output Shaft Hole Plug Tip: Using a suitable adapter and an arbor press, remove the front output shaft hole plug by going through the front of the front output shaft. Install the plug using the large side of the DT-48212 . See Special Tools . Press the plug until the tool bottoms on the front output shaft. Tip:

Using a suitable adapter and an arbor press, remove the front output shaft hole plug by going through the front of the front output shaft.
Install the plug using the large side of the DT-48212 . See Special Tools .
Press the plug until the tool bottoms on the front output shaft.
