DEFINITION: Knocking or clunking noise occurs when operating the vehicle in high gear or coasting in NEUTRAL at 16 km/h (10 mph).
One or more of the universal joints are worn or damaged. Replace the universal joint. Refer to the following:
The side gear hub counterbore in the differential is wornoversize. Replace the differential case and/or the side gears. Refer to Differential Replacement (10.5 Inch, 11.5 Inch Axle) or Differential Replacement (8.6, 9.5/9.5LD Inch Axles) .
