Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2008 GMC Yukon XL, 2008 GMC Yukon, 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2008 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
IMPORTANT: All gasket surfaces should be free of oil or other foreign material during assembly.

  1. Place the service gasket (1) onto the valve lifter oil manifold.

  2. Install the valve lifter oil manifold (1) to the engine.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the valve lifter oil manifold bolts (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  4. Connect the engine harness electrical connector (1) to the oil pressure sensor.
  5. Install the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement (RPOs LY2/LY6)  or Intake Manifold Replacement (RPOs LC9/LMG/LY5/L76)  or Intake Manifold Replacement (RPO L92 - First Design)  or Intake Manifold Replacement (RPO L92 - Second Design) .
