Inspection Procedure

- Inspect the manual transmission engine flywheel for the following conditions:
- Missing and/or damaged alignment pins (1)
- Damaged threaded holes (2)
- Pitted surface (3)
- Scoring or grooves (4)
- Rust or other surface damaged (5)
- Damaged ring gear teeth (6)
- Loose or improperly positioned ring gear
The ring gear has an interference fit onto the engine flywheel and should be positioned completely against the flange of the engine flywheel (7).
- Replace the engine flywheel as necessary.
