Input Shaft Disassemble

Tools Required 

J 36513  Gear and Bearing Separator Plate

    IMPORTANT:
    • Only remove the bearings if replacing the bearings. Do not use the bearings again after removal.
    • You must also replace the race for the bearing being replaced.
  1. Inspect the bearing for damage or wear. Refer to Bearings and Spacers Cleaning and Inspection .
  2. Using a hydraulic press and the J 36513  (1), remove the input shaft bearing.

  3. Remove the input shaft oil deflector using a suitable prying tool.

  4. Discard the input shaft oil deflector after removal.
