Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 6.6L (LLY).
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
  3. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose/pipe. Refer to Crankcase Ventilation Hoses/Pipes Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 6.6L (LLY).
  4. Disconnect the turbocharger electrical connector. Lift the metal retainer, in order to disconnect.
  5. Remove the engine wire harness clamp bolt and reposition.
  6. IMPORTANT: The clamp for the air intake pipe uses reverse threads.

  7. Loosen the air intake pipe to turbocharger clamp (1).
  8. Remove the air intake pipe (2) from the turbocharger.
