WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 GMC Sierra and 2007 Chevrolet Silverado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the power take-off (PTO) module.
  2. Ignition ON, test for greater than 11.0 volts between the B+ voltage circuit terminal 32 and ground.
    • If less than the specified value, test the B+ voltage circuit for a high resistance.
  3. Ignition ON, test for greater than 11.0 volts between the B+ voltage circuit terminal 32 and the ground circuit terminal 1.
    • If less than the specified value, test the ground circuit for a high resistance.
  4. Engine ON, test for less than 16 volts between the B+ voltage circuit terminal 32 and ground.
    • If greater than the specified value, test the voltage circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, refer to Charging System Test .
  5. If all circuits test normal, test or replace the PTO module.
