Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the flywheel. Refer to Engine Flywheel Replacement .
  2. Clean the area around the crankshaft rear oil seal.
  3. Install the button of J 44641  into the crankshaft. See Special Tools .
  4. Press the jaws of J 44641  into the felt portion of the seal far enough to engage the inner lip of the seal. See Special Tools .
  5. While holding the J 44641  tightly to the seal inner sleeve, tighten the jaw bolts. See Special Tools .
  6. Remove the crankshaft rear oil seal using J 44641  . See Special Tools .
