Front Output Shaft Drive Sprocket Bearing Replacement

Preliminary Procedure Using the J 35512: bearing installer and an arbor press, remove the bearing assemblies from the drive sprocket. Ensure the bearings are installed squarely into the drive sprocket bore. Install the bearings from the top with the clutch teeth facing down.
1	Transfer Case Front Output Shaft Drive Sprocket Bearing Assembly - Front Tip: Install the bearing using the long side of the DT-48211: bearing installer. Ensure the flat edge of the bearing is facing upward. Using an arbor press or hammer, install the bearing until the tool bottoms on the drive sprocket. Special Tools DT-48211: Drive Sprocket Bearing Installer J 8092: Universal Driver J 35512: Inner Pinion Bearing Installer For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .
2	Transfer Case Front Output Shaft Drive Sprocket Bearing Assembly - Rear Tip: Install the bearing using the short side of the DT-48211 . Ensure the flat edge of the bearing is facing upward. Using an arbor press or hammer, install the bearing until the tool bottoms on the drive sprocket.
