Removal Procedure

  1. If equipped with 4WD, remove the right front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Right Side (Chevrolet) or Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Right Side (GMC) .
  2. Remove the right front wheel and tire. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  3. Working through the wheel well opening, disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (3) from knock sensor.

  5. Remove the knock sensor bolt (739) and knock sensor (718).
