The control solenoid (w/body and TCM) valve assembly uses an internal temperature sensor, which is integral to the transmission control module (TCM) and has no serviceable parts. This sensor is not the same sensor used for reading the transmission fluid temperature (TFT). The internal temperature is used to protect the control solenoid valve assembly and the TCM. Since the sensor is internal to the control solenoid valve assembly and TCM, there are no external circuits that can be diagnosed.
