Engine Coolant Inlet Pipe Replacement

Callout Component Name

Preliminary Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716)  or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) .
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  3. Disconnect the radiator outlet hose from the coolant pipe. Refer to Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement .
  4. Disconnect the auxiliary water pump hose from the coolant pipe. Refer to Auxiliary Water Pump Inlet Hose Replacement 
1 Radiator Outlet Pipe Bolt (Qty: 2)
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Tighten:  23 N.m (17 lb ft)

2 Radiator Outlet Pipe Bolt

Tighten:  50 N.m (37 lb ft)
