Filler Tube: Installation

  1. Install a new filler tube seal into the transmission case. Install the filler tube into the seal. See Figure .
  2. Lower the vehicle. Install the upper transmission fill tube to the vehicle and into the lower fill tube. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Install the bolt securing the filler tube bracket to the engine and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Install the oil level indicator. Adjust fluid level as necessary. See RECOMMENDED FLUIDS  and FLUID CAPACITIES  under LUBRICATION.
