Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Cadillac CTS. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Install the steering knuckle to the lower ball joint stud.
- Install a new lower ball joint retaining nut.
- Tighten the nut in the following order:
Tighten:
- Tighten the nut to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
- Tighten the nut to an additional 210 degree turn.
- Install the upper control arm to steering knuckle.
- Install the upper control arm to steering knuckle pinch bolt and nut.
Tighten: Tighten the nut to 60 N.m (44 lb ft).
- Connect the stabilizer shaft link to the lower control arm.
- Install the stabilizer shaft link retaining nut.
Tighten: Tighten the nut to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
- Connect the outer tie rod to the steering knuckle.
- Install the outer tie rod retaining nut.
Tighten: Tighten the nut to 75 N.m (55 lb ft).
- Install the wheel bearing/hub. Refer to Front Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement (AWD) or Front Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement (RWD) .
- Install the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
- Lower the vehicle.

IMPORTANT:
Apply threadlocker 242 or equivalent to the threads of the stabilizer shaft link.
