Installation Procedure

    IMPORTANT: Install the steering linkage outer tie rod the same number of complete turns needed to remove it.
  1. Install the steering linkage outer tie rod (2) to the steering linkage inner tie rod (3).
  2. Tighten the new steering linkage inner tie rod nut (1).

  4. Connect the steering linkage inner tie rod to the steering knuckle.
  5. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  6. Install the new steering linkage outer tie rod nut.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut to 57 N.m (42 lb ft).

  7. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  8. Adjust the front toe. refer to Front Toe Adjustment .
