Suction Hose Replacement

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  2. Remove the air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement .
  3. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
1 Suction Hose Bolt
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Tighten:  9 N.m (80 lb in)

2 Suction Hose Bracket Retaining Nut

Tighten:  9 N.m (80 lb in)

3 Suction Hose Clamp
Procedure: 
Using J 45689  , disconnect the suction hose from the evaporator by pressing the probe end into the 2 small openings in the plastic quick joint. See Special Tools .
Special Tools: 
J 45689  A/C Quick Joint Tool. See Special Tools .
4 Suction Hose
Procedure: 
Remove and discard sealing washer. Refer to O-Ring Replacement .
