Installation Procedure

  1. Lubricate the O-rings. Refer to O-Ring Replacement .
  2. Install the discharge hose.
  3. Connect the discharge hose to compressor.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  5. Install the discharge hose bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 9.8 N.m (87 lb in).

  6. Install the discharge hose to the condenser.

  8. Install the bolt to the discharge hose.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 5.4 N.m (48 lb in).

  9. Install the air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement .
  10. Evacuate and recharge the refrigerant system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  11. Leak test the fittings of the component using J 39400-A.
